It was a busy and exciting week at Little River!

Hello Week-Thank you to everyone who participated in Hello Week! Our students did a wonderful job focusing on kindness, connection, and making sure everyone feels seen and included. We loved seeing our Dolphins come together!

Thank you to our amazing staff and students for bringing the energy as we Launched Greatness! Our K–1 students designed and tested straw rockets, while students in grades 2–5 launched canister rockets powered by Alka-Seltzer and water. Students got to see science in action as carbon dioxide gas built up inside the canisters and powered their rockets!

Students also spent time with their Houses and learned their House chants. There was plenty of cheering, teamwork, science, and FUN throughout the school!

A HUGE thank you to all of our families who came out for our Back to School Bash! Parents learned key information and strategies to help their children be successful this school year, while our students took on some exciting STEAM World Cup challenges!

Students designed a waterproof soccer cleat, built their own soccer nets, and created championship trophies—and that doesn't even include all the soccer fun happening outside!

And when the rain came? Our Dolphins kept going! Nothing was going to stop the fun. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a great success!

The competition is on! Our September House winner will be announced Thursday! Which House will claim the first victory of the year? Stay tuned!

Get ready, Houses! Our October House Challenge will help us prepare for our upcoming Trunk or Treat!

We are asking students to bring in bags of individually wrapped candy. This challenge is all about the POUNDS! We will weigh the candy donated by each House, and the House that collects the most pounds of candy will earn 50 EXTRA HOUSE POINTS! All candy is due by Wednesday, October 21.

The candy collected will be used for our Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 23, so every donation helps make this fun event possible for our students!
