Welcome Back

Thank you for an amazing first week of school! It was so wonderful to see our students back on campus, filling our classrooms and hallways with their smiles and energy. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and support as everyone settles back into school routines.
Our students and staff had a fantastic start, and we are excited for all that is ahead as we continue Launching Greatness together! Please take a moment to view our Welcome Back video on Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcGl6FIKQRl/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Arrival Helpful Hints
We are continuing to fine-tune arrival to make it as safe and efficient as possible. A few things you can do to help us:
  • When dropping off your student, please pull all the way forward to one of the numbered spaces or one of our TLC spots if your child needs assistance. You may have noticed that we have areas roped off along the sidewalk. This is intentional and helps us keep students safely away from moving vehicles. When you pull into a space, please make sure your back door is lined up with the open area between the ropes so your student can safely exit the vehicle.
Thank you for helping us keep our Dolphins safe!

Dismissal: We’re Getting Faster!
Car rider dismissal is already getting faster! Thank you for your patience as our students learn the routine.
One of the biggest ways you can help is by reminding your student to listen carefully for the station number they are assigned. We load Stations 3–6 at the same time and then dismiss those vehicles together before bringing in the next four cars.
When students listen for their number and report directly to the correct station, this system moves quickly! Our goal is to get car rider dismissal down to approximately 15 minutes, and we were already getting close last week. I know we will get there!

Please Arrive Before 3:15
Please make every effort to arrive in the car line before 3:15 p.m. After 3:15, car rider dismissal may be closed, and you may need to park, bring your car tag, and come into the front office to pick up your student.
Orange County policy requires students who are not enrolled in Champions to be picked up no later than 30 minutes after dismissal. For our school, that means all students must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. Students who remain after that time may require us to follow district procedures, which include notification to district police and DCF.
We understand that emergencies happen—traffic, unexpected work situations, and other circumstances sometimes occur. We want to work with our families, and the more you communicate with us, the better we can support you. However, late pickup cannot become a recurring situation. If you know you are going to be late, please call the school and let us know.
Thank you for partnering with us to make arrival and dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient for everyone.

Delayed Dismissal: Bad Weather

Florida weather can change quickly! When weather conditions make it unsafe for us to continue our regular dismissal procedures, we may need to delay dismissal until we receive the all-clear.
If we have a delayed dismissal, we will communicate updates through ParentSquare. Please make sure you are checking ParentSquare for the most current information.
A few things to remember during a delayed dismissal:
  • If you have questions or need additional information, please call the front office.
  • You can also reply directly to my Delayed Dismissal message in ParentSquare, and I will respond.
  • For everyone's safety, we must wait until we receive the all-clear before resuming regular dismissal.
  • If you choose to come into the office to pick up your student during a delayed dismissal, please bring your car tag with you.
  • If you do not have your car tag, you will need to show a photo ID before your student can be released.
We know delayed dismissals can be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Our priority will always be keeping our students and staff safe while getting everyone home as quickly and safely as possible.

It was a GREAT first week, Dolphins! I can't wait to see what Week 2 brings as we continue Launching Greatness—Every Student, Every Lesson, Every Day!
