I want to extend a huge thank you to all our staff, students, and families for making our recent Hispanic Heritage Celebration such a meaningful event. It was a truly wonderful opportunity to celebrate the vibrant cultures and traditions of so many of our students. Watching our community unite, learn from one another, and recognize that despite our many different backgrounds, we are all Little River Dolphins together—that was the greatest takeaway. Our diversity is not just something we recognize; it is the fundamental source of our school's strength.
VOCABULARY PARADE
On Friday, October 31st, students will be able to wear costumes to school. Costumes must be appropriate for school; there are no masks allowed, and no toy weapons or props. This is for our Vocabulary Parade that will take place at 9:00. Students should have a vocabulary word that goes with their costume. This could be a descriptive work or a characteristic of their costume. Don't want your child to wear a costume... NO PROBLEM! Just have them make a sign or paper with a vocabulary word on it.
Permission slips for this event will go home next week. All students must have a signed permission slip to participate. If you want your child to wear their costume for the parade, they must come to school in it. There will be no time to change before the parade at 9:00. Students will change out of their costumes AFTER the parade, so please make sure they have extra clothes for the day.
Parents/Guardians, we would love for you to join us for this parade. All you have to do is come to the sidewalks of the bus loop before 9:00 on Friday, October 31st, to cheer our students on. We will have music playing, and students will parade around the loop. You do not need to go to the office to check in.
FALL FESTIVAL
